Artisan liquor factory tour
The experience includes a visit to an emerging artisan liquor factory located in Dolianova, about 20 km from Cagliari. Italy boasts a long tradition in the production of artisan liqueurs in every region and Sardinia is not different. In fact, our region is famous beyond national and international borders for the "Myrtle", a fresh and fragrant liqueur, obtained from a typical Mediterranean scrub plant, normally served cold at the end of meals. The berries for its production are harvested in the countryside during the winter season, are cleaned, washed and then infused for about 40 days. The tour will begin with a visit to the production area, and afterwards, under the guidance of an expert, you will learn how to prepare artisan myrtle, according to the distillery's recipe. At the end of the activity, you can leave with a 10 cl bottle of the myrtle you have produced. After discovering all the manufacturing secrets, we will end the visit with the tasting of 3 liqueurs and 1 drink, combined with some local food products.
