Visit to the new San Benedetto market
We will visit the most important market in the city of Cagliari. We will take a walk among the fish, fruit, cured meats, and cheese stalls. I will tell you about our main gastronomic traditions, the products we usually consume at our tables, and those we enjoy on special occasions. We will end the walk with a tasting of local cured meats and cheeses. You will find yourself in an environment full of life, colors, and intense aromas, where, alongside regular customers, it is common to meet many tourists.
Since March 18, 2025, the market has been moved to a new and modern structure just a few steps from the historic market, which has been closed for renovation work that will take 2 years.
Duration of the experience: 1.5 h
Meeting point: Entrance no. 1 of the new market, Via Sant' Alenixedda (next to the Teatro Lirico).
Minimum number of visitors per experience:
2 people.
Maximum number of visitors per experience: 10 people.
Experience time
: h 10.00 (modifiable upon request).
Days when the experience is available: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Booking: up to the day before the experience.
Languages spoken: Italian, English, French.
Cost per person: 32 euros
The cost includes: market visit, tasting of typical products, accompaniment by the food and wine guide for the entire duration of the experience.
