This evening, Thursday, July 1st at 6:30 pm, the opening night is scheduled for the traveling event dedicated to the most important red grape variety of our island: His Majesty CANNONAU. The event will open with the exhibition of a series of bilingual panels that will tell a story spanning 3,000 years. The first stop of the event will take place in Villasimius, at Casa Todde, home of the Sea Museum, from July 1st to 10th. 10 dates and 10 unmissable events! The next stops will feature the towns of Santa Teresa di Gallura, Pula, Castiadas, and Quartucciu. Cin Cin Cannonau is organized by the Botteghe in Piazza Association, an association founded in 1994 with a track record of organizing numerous food and wine events; and it has been funded by the Sardinia Foundation and the municipalities hosting it. As many as 26 wineries and 7 agri-food companies from the Island have joined the event with their products.

We look forward to seeing many of you.

Le strade del gusto will actively participate in the event by managing the food and wine lounges, 2 for each stop. During the meetings, some typical local products will be tasted, from the cheeses of the Aresu dairy in Donori, to the extra virgin olive oil from Villa d’Orri, to the mullet roe from Rocca and many others. The products will be the starting point to tell the story of the island's food and wine excellences, the products that have already obtained DOP, IGP, and PAT recognition and those that have just begun this journey. Pairings will be sought with the numerous wines present at the event. There will be 2 Cannonau wines for tasting each evening. Below is the detailed program of the first stop: Admission to the exhibition is free as are the evening tasting activities, which are accessible by reservation only.
