In this article I would like to tell you the details of a project that is particularly close to my heart and in which I was pleasantly involved in the creation of food and wine experiences. I'm talking about the "Online Festival Meetings of Cultures 2020", promoted by the Atobius association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Dolianova, which will take place from Tuesday 15th to Saturday 19th December 2020. This festival, of which I will reveal some details, will allow all participants to discover different cultures and traditions while comfortably sitting on their sofas and safe in their own homes. "Because we want to feel close even though we are physically thousands of kilometers apart. For this reason, in addition to cultural presentations of our land and the foreign countries our friends come from, we will organize various workshops and experiential activities." (Atobius) The whole team involved in the festival will work to help you discover Sardinia and in particular the town of Dolianova (where the association is based) in a different and original way. "We have planned many events to help you better understand various aspects of Sardinian culture, from cuisine to music, from crafts to history and archaeology." (Atobius) For the success of the Festival, the collaboration of students attending Italian language schools all over the world will be crucial. Their task will be to tell us something about their cities and traditions, in order to create a true cultural exchange. The Festival is aimed at all Italian language students in the world who want to learn more about our culture, but also at the inhabitants of Sardinia who want to discover cultures different from our own. Numerous countries are involved in the event: Peru, Greece, Netherlands, Japan, Slovakia, United States, Great Britain, Argentina, Spain. There are two ways to participate in the festival: Numerous interesting free activities are planned, such as the presentation of Sardinia and the town of Dolianova, the presentation of other places in the world and their traditions, mini lessons on wine, oil and other local product tasting techniques, Sardinian dance lessons, and cooking workshops. In addition to the above activities, there will be some online experiences that require the purchase of a box to receive some products from the Dolianova area directly at home.
