Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2019 in Nuraminis (a municipality in the province of Cagliari) the third edition of “Cumbidus, literary meetings among the earth houses” will be held, an event desired and organized by the Municipal Administration to promote and enhance the architectural heritage of the historic center, especially the raw earth houses typical of Campidano.
The tools used for this purpose will basically be two: literary meetings with nationally and internationally renowned authors, in evocative locations as only Campidanese houses can be, and the “cumbidus”, which can be translated in our Sardinian language as “invitations of food or drinks for guests”. So, in order not to nourish only the spirit, it was decided to accompany the meetings with typical dishes and excellent wine.
The artistic and organizational direction of the event has been entrusted to the cooperative Meela, whose core business is communication and event organization.
The preparation of typical dishes will instead be handled by the Association of Chefs of the Province of Cagliari and the Pro Loco of Nuraminis, while the wine tasting will be organized by Le strade del gusto. The sommelier Cristina Mamusa will present the wines of the young and dynamic winery Audarya, whose modern and welcoming structure is located in the countryside of Serdiana.
The appointments and guests that will enliven the two days of the event will be many and varied. From the “literary discussions” between the writer Flavio Soriga and the anthropologist Francesco Bachis, to the presentation of the latest book by Piergiorgio Pulixi; from the reading with Soriga and Renzo Cugis to the concert of the Don Leone blues duo.
The detailed program of the event will be presented during the press conference called for Thursday, September 5, at 10:30 am, at the headquarters of the Fondazione di Sardegna in via San Salvatore da Horta 2, in Cagliari.
