On Sunday, May 26, the successful event "Cantine Aperte" will be repeated throughout Italy, sponsored and promoted by the Movimento Turismo del Vino, which will also involve Sardinia with some of its most important wineries. An unmissable event for all wine tourists and winelovers! The Movimento Turismo del Vino, founded in 1993, is a non-profit association that includes about 1,000 of the most prestigious wineries in Italy, selected based on specific requirements, first and foremost, the quality of wine tourism hospitality. With its constant commitment and initiatives, the Movimento Turismo del Vino has made a significant contribution to the growth of the national wine tourism sector, which represents a fundamental economic resource for the development of the territories and an effective tool for environmental protection. Cantine Aperte, Calici Sotto Le Stelle (which takes place in August) and Cantine Aperte a Natale are just 3 of the best-known events promoted by the Movement and which last year recorded more than 1 million visitors, with 70% regional visitors (visitors who visited wineries in their own region), 25% extra-regional visitors (visitors from regions other than their own), and 5% international visitors, a percentage destined to grow given market trends. These events have as their main objective to bring people closer to the activities and products of the participating wineries, and on the other hand, to offer an example of how to do business while respecting traditions, environmental protection, and quality agriculture. Among the objectives of the Movement are: There are more and more wineries in our region that decide to join the event every year, and each of them offers increasingly original and interesting programs. This year there are as many as 13 wineries participating throughout the territory. In some areas, there are so many that you can finally visit up to 3 wineries by traveling just a few kilometers. Below is the list of Sardinian wineries participating in the event, divided by province: CAGLIARI NUORO OLBIA TEMPIO SASSARI For all details you can consult the Movimento Turismo del Vino website or the websites of the individual wineries. I invite you to take part in the event because it is a special opportunity to discover some of the most important production realities of our territory. You will have the chance to taste very different wines, depending on their area of origin, the grape varieties used, and the production and aging techniques. Take part, but do so responsibly! Personally, I will actively participate in the event in the official role of sommelier in one of the wineries in Parteolla. Have a great event to all organizers, collaborators, and participants!
