Olive oil mill tour
We will visit one of the most important oil mills in the Parteolla area (from the Latin Pars Olea), an area near Cagliari particularly suited for the production of high-quality extra virgin olive oil. The mill has been in operation since 1962 and was built by the will of 31 citizens and olive growers from Dolianova (the main town of Parteolla) with the aim of improving the quality, productivity, and marketability of a product already excellent by nature. The growers of this region have a long tradition, in fact, since the time of the Phoenicians, several centuries before Christ, olives were harvested and processed in Parteolla. The experience begins with a visit to the production area dedicated to table olives (the olives we enjoy during our aperitifs or bring to our tables) and continues with a visit to the olive mill (the area dedicated to EVO oil production). The visit will continue in the tasting room where we will watch a video story of all the stages of oil production, from harvesting to milling and bottling, and will end with a guided tasting of some products (2 types of EVO oil, olive cream, and olives in brine). You will discover that different olives produce oils with very different visual and taste characteristics and that there is a correct pairing for every food. You can see the machinery in operation from October to February (EVO oil production period).

The cost includes: access and guided tour of the olive mill (table olive production area and oil production area); guided tasting of 2 oils from the gold line, olive cream, and olives in brine; accompaniment by the food and wine guide for the entire duration of the experience. The cost of transport to reach the olive mill is not included. Exclusive visit and tasting (there will be no other guests).
